| About the Department |
The department of Mathematics was introduced in 2003. During this short period of time department has made a mark in teaching. Department provides 4 years B.Sc. Honours and 3 years Multi disciplinary courses. Now this department has intake capacity of 46 students for honours.
Department has a computer laboratory for practical classes. This department presently have two full time faculties with two SACT. From this department some students are entered into higher level education and different jobs. Students are qualifying with very good marks from this department. Department provides their curriculums as per the Vidyasagar University directions. Students are taught theoretically through usual classroom based teaching with board work as well as power point presentations. Moreover, tutorial classes are arranged on regular basis for the students. There is a very good relationship with the teacher and students. Departmental students and faculties use to involve in different cultural and sports activities. Department has a departmental library, which is fully accessible to the students. |

- Department use to organized fresher welcome every year for the new comers to this department.
- Parent-teacher meeting is organised on a regular basis throughout the academic session.
- Internal Assesment is done timely following the academic calendar.
- Department has organized a webinar on “Application of Mathematics on Epidemiology” on 21/08/2020 within the pandemic COVID-19 to encourage the students and faculties.
